I Had Never Been Anywhere Quite Like It

Abundant with lemons, The Amalfi Coast is the rocky mediterranean region of southern Italy in which the Sailor’s compass was perfected by the inventor/mariner Flavio Gioja (c. 1300). Being there was topographically, architecturally, archaeologically, and aesthetically surreal. I’m not even sure these photos are an accurate representation.
